Banana Who?

Hello there!

Welcome to Give Me Bananas! Yes, this is yet an other blog about food, health and all the good stuff in life :) .

I’m Karin, 23 and a huge lover of tea, chocolate and bananas (among other things, hehe).

Most of my time I’m stuck behind a desk (oh the glorious office life!) but in my free time I love running and practicing yoga though I’d never dare to call myself a runner or yogini. I also play squash with my friends once a week although I spend most of the time running into the wall. However, I’m generally really active (got to get that strength training in there somewhere as well, sigh) as I get bored pretty easily. I love mixing things up and keeping work outs exciting.

I believe in being active, eating healthy food but also enjoying life and drinking the occasional glass of wine. We only live once after all!

As I feel very passionate about health and leading a content life, I really hope that this blog will cheer you up a little bit as well. But to be honest: I’ve had my fair share of troubles with eating and depression, so I know that it’s not always a laugh. I just want to motivate people to have a positive outlook on life and to fight for it when times are bad. (Not to say that I’m perfect and always happy – I’m a human being with normal emotions after all – but I already spent enough time feeling miserable because of things that aren’t important anymore).
Let’s try to make life better one step at a time.

Btw: I am also rather sarcastic (and also sometimes very serious.. an incredibly strange mix, I know), love british humour and am scared of pidgeons.

& P.S.: I’m Swiss and Japanese (Yes, both) so please don’t kill me if I make any grammar mistakes. English is just some language I stumbled upon :)
