I kept writing and re-writing this post but nothing good came up. Maybe because I’m preoccupied with thinking about the weather. Fingers crossed that no snow storm will suddenly appear on Saturday!
So besides checking BBC weather every ten seconds I’m actually wrapping up work (last day tomorrow – Christmas party on Friday!) and keeping busy with other shenanigans such as:
- Reading ‘The Kite Runner’. (I know, I know I’m late). I loved this book so much. Khaled Hosseini is so incredibly talented. It was also good to read fiction again after lots of (also interesting) books about running, nutrition and life.
- Checking Der Bund online and following the federal council elections and secretly laughing by myself because there still is some good in this world.
- Christmas present shopping. Oxford Street on a Saturday 2 weeks before Christmas. Enough said.
- Watching this:
-IIN and chatting with my fellow students. I get inspired on a daily basis and am still amazed that there are so many like-minded people.
-Yoga and meditation. Same old same old. It prevents me from losing my head though which is good
.
The UK is so Christmassy I actually kept singing Christmas songs in the office today. One colleague wondered where the singing came from and then he suggested I should sign up for X Factor. Good one buddy. I’ll be the next Leona Lewis.
I am actually thinking about getting a cheesy Christmas CD so I can go and torture my family and friends a bit. I think my dad would love some Wham! blasting out of the stereo.
So you see this post was rather uninspired but I bet you’ve all experienced this ‘waiting before something happens’ phase… like the days leading up to your wedding (I can imagine) or the minutes before Justin Bieber gets on stage. That anticipation.
Let’s call it limbo. That’s where I am at the moment. Until Saturday that is.
Love kx
