I somehow found myself in Beyond Retro today and (dear oh dear) had to break my promise and give in to those fabulous shoes and this beautiful top.
I’m pretty sure you understand my actions though.. don’t you?
I hereby solemnly swear that I won’t go shopping until you come and visit. Oh and I also won’t set a foot into Topshop. Not even for a small peek.

I can’t believe he still remembers everything. That man is some kind of a miracle.
That’s how it goes on a Monday afternoon, my friends. As simple as that.
But seriously, who could say no to a vegan peanut butter chocolate banana cupcake from Whole Foods? Huh?
This afternoon I popped by HMV (bad!) and got a hole bunch of £3-ish DVDs before I could stop myself. They’re all highly intellectual of course.
Needless to say started watching Wild Child the minute I got into my room. It actually turned out to be a pretty funny film.
Yet once again I had to admit to myself that I am a huge nerd. And while I love being a nerd I sometimes wonder if I shouldn’t do more rock ‘n’ roll (-ish) things now that I (however temporary that might be..) live in London. Shouldn’t I.. get drunk on a random Tuesday night? Spend all my money on vintage clothes? Well I guess since I’m almost the oldest person at school (besides the teachers – I wish I was kidding) I’ll just pretend to be the extremely responsible person….
…and listen to the new Strokes album. That’s as far as rock ‘n’ roll goes with me nowadays.
(Though maybeeee I’m also out partying hard all night long and just don’t write about it. heheheheeeee.
Kidding.)

Things hardly get boring in London (except if you’re doing your homework while waiting for your laundry to be done.)
While I was trying to get used to being a student again (LOVE! my classes though), Mr Osborne presented the new budget which naturally called for a demonstration.
So yesterday, when I went into town with my roomie Rebecca (to go to Whole Foods of course), we ran into a demonstration and some policemen.
No idea what Topshop had to do with this though..

Hello Hello!
So I finally get the chance to write a blog post, hooray!
I got to London safe and sound yesterday and everything went quite smoothly – even though the tube was partly not working (surprise surprise). Our student house is very comfy and in a quiet area which is great.
And guess what. My roommate is Swiss. And speaks Swiss German. Perfect for practicing English, right? 
To think about it, there are a lot of Swiss people at the school – we’re kind of like germs.
Our first day started with a placement test (le sigh..). I really wanted to get into the Cambridge Proficiency course so I was pretty nervous but things went quite well (even though the test was crazy hard) and I can finally relax and smooth out the wrinkles I got over the last few days.
Things have been so hectic lately and I can’t wait to go to Jivamukti yoga tomorrow. I need some peace and quiet .
But secretly (though actually… not so secretly) I’m almost bursting with excitement simply because I’m now living in one of the greatest cities on earth.
Hehehehe.
