Give Me Bananas

I have a love / hate relationship with Sundays. I think they’re great because they’re mostly relaxing but I always dread them because they mark the end of the week. They also give me the “oh no, tomorrow’s Monday!” feeling.

But yesterday was great.

The boyfriend and I made a huge brunch with delicious food.

Ah love. I love indulging with moderation on weekends .

My mom is an amazing cook and we usually go to our parents house on Sundays for dinner where she spoils us rotten (food wise ). Yesterday she whipped up a dish that I haven’t had in forever..

Okonomi yaki!

Okonomi yaki is a Japanese dish that is made differently in the regions of  Japan but mum made it the way she knows it – batter and cabbage mixed together. So it’s actually like a cabbage pancake. Absolutely amazing. I’ve missed it .

I wonder where my love for food comes from .
